Our Physiotherapy Services in Vaughan, ON
Our Vaughan physiotherapy team is trained in a wide range of specialized treatment approaches to address your unique condition and goals.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a cornerstone of physiotherapy practice at PhysioChiroWellness. Our physiotherapists use skilled, hands-on techniques — including joint mobilization, manipulation, and soft tissue release — to reduce pain, restore joint mobility, and improve functional movement. Manual therapy is particularly effective for neck pain, back pain, shoulder restrictions, and post-surgical stiffness.
Vestibular Physiotherapy
Dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems can be debilitating — but they often respond remarkably well to specialized vestibular physiotherapy. Our therapists are trained in the assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders, including BPPV, labyrinthitis, and central vestibular dysfunction.
Concussion Rehabilitation
Concussion recovery requires a systematic, staged approach. Our concussion-trained physiotherapists follow evidence-based protocols to manage symptoms, guide your return-to-activity, and address associated issues such as vestibular dysfunction, cervicogenic headaches, and visual disturbances. We tailor each program to your individual needs to ensure a safe and effective recovery.
Sports Physiotherapy
Athletes from recreational to competitive level trust our Vaughan clinic for sports injury prevention, acute injury management, and performance rehabilitation. Our sports physiotherapists understand the demands of sport and design treatment plans to get you back to training and competing — faster and stronger than before.
Exercise Therapy & Rehabilitation
Movement is medicine. Our physiotherapists design individualized therapeutic exercise programs to help you rebuild strength, restore mobility, and correct the movement dysfunctions that are contributing to your pain or injury. Every exercise program is progressed systematically based on your response and goals — from early-stage rehabilitation to return-to-sport performance.
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Whether you’ve had a knee replacement, rotator cuff repair, ACL reconstruction, hip surgery, or spinal surgery, our post-surgical rehabilitation program is designed to optimize your recovery. We work closely with your surgeon’s protocols and timelines, progressing your care at the right pace to ensure the best possible outcome.
Pre-Surgical Physiotherapy ("Prehab")
Research consistently shows that patients who undergo physiotherapy before elective surgery — commonly called “prehab” — have significantly better surgical outcomes. Our pre-surgical physiotherapy program helps you optimize your strength, mobility, and overall physical condition before your procedure.
WSIB & Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Physiotherapy
Our clinic is authorized to treat WSIB claims and MVA injuries. If you’ve been injured at work or in a car accident in the Vaughan area, our physiotherapists can provide the comprehensive assessment, treatment, and documentation your claim requires. We bill your insurance or WSIB directly. Your recovery is our top priority.

One-on-One Appointment Model
We do not use a "gym model" where you're left on your own with exercises. At PhysioChiroWellness, your physiotherapist gives you focused, one-on-one care every visit.
Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team
Your physiotherapist works closely with our chiropractors, massage therapists, naturopaths, and acupuncturists. We create a coordinated care plan that treats your condition from every angle.
Flexible Hours for Busy Vaughan Residents
We offer early morning, evening, and Saturday appointments. It’s care that fits your schedule.
Physiotherapy That Works With Your Whole Body
At PhysioChiroWellness, we believe that the most effective physiotherapy isn’t delivered in a vacuum. Pain and dysfunction rarely have a single cause; they’re the product of multiple overlapping factors, including movement patterns, lifestyle, stress, nutrition, and structural alignment.
That’s why our Vaughan physiotherapists work as part of a larger integrated health team. When appropriate, we collaborate across disciplines to ensure you’re receiving the most comprehensive care available.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
A patient recovering from a disc herniation might receive physiotherapy for targeted mobility and strengthening exercises, chiropractic care to restore spinal alignment, massage therapy to address tight surrounding musculature, and acupuncture to manage pain and promote tissue healing — all coordinated under one roof, with direct communication between providers.
The result? Faster progress. Fewer setbacks. Better long-term outcomes.

I had such a great experience here! The doctors are very professional but also genuinely friendly, which made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. They took the time to listen and explain everything clearly.
The front desk, Jobelle is super friendly as well! They were flexible with scheduling and very patient in answering all my questions, providing accurate and helpful details.

I've always had issues with getting a sense of satisfaction after a session with a chiropractor, and I've seen at least 4 in my lifetime... Dr. V has left me actually feeling far better than I've EVER felt leaving a chiropractor's office, and I'm hugely looking forward to seeing him again... I'd TOTALLY recommend him to anyone that needs some help. And Jay was very (updated this typo) accommodating and helpful.. these people seem very professional, and clearly want to help. I live far away, but it's worth the 45 min drive.

They have a great team of doctors and therapists who are committed to your comfort and well being. It’s very convenient and like a one stop shop as they have naturopathy, chiropractic and physiotherapy. I have really bad trapezius pain and within two weeks have experienced a noticeable difference. They have a lot of ways to help you get back to your best self. I genuinely look forward to my treatments.

Dr T was amazing. I had gone to another physio place for treatment and didn’t really see any difference in the pain but after going to Dr T, I see what physio will do to help me. Thorough and knowledgeable and also very pleasant.
Frequently Asked Questions — Physiotherapy in Vaughan
Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist in Vaughan?
No. Physiotherapy in Ontario is a direct-access profession, which means you can book an appointment at our Vaughan clinic without a physician’s referral. However, some insurance plans may require a referral for reimbursement purposes, we recommend checking your plan details before your first visit.
Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP in Ontario?
Physiotherapy services in private clinics like ours are not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health benefit plans include physiotherapy coverage. We offer direct billing to the majority of major group insurance providers. WSIB-covered workplace injuries and OHIP-covered publicly funded physiotherapy (available for specific eligible patients through hospital outpatient programs) are separate streams.
How long is a typical physiotherapy appointment?
Initial assessments at our Vaughan clinic are typically 60 minutes and include a comprehensive health history, physical examination, diagnosis, and the beginning of your treatment plan. Follow-up treatment appointments are usually 45–60 minutes, during which your physiotherapist will provide hands-on treatment and progress your exercise program.
How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?
This depends entirely on your condition, its severity, and how long you’ve been experiencing symptoms. Acute soft tissue injuries may resolve in 4–6 sessions. Post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic conditions typically require longer treatment courses. After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will provide a clear, honest estimate of the treatment timeline and what to expect at each stage.
What conditions do physiotherapists treat?
Physiotherapists in Vaughan treat a very broad range of conditions — far beyond just “back pain.” Our physiotherapy services include treatment for sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, pelvic floor dysfunction, concussion, vestibular disorders, neurological conditions, arthritis, chronic pain, workplace injuries, and much more. If you’re unsure whether physiotherapy is right for your condition, call us — we’re happy to advise.
Can physiotherapy help after a car accident?
Absolutely. Physiotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for motor vehicle accident injuries including whiplash, soft tissue injuries, and spine-related trauma. Our Vaughan physiotherapists are experienced in MVA rehabilitation and work within the HCAI framework. We can bill your auto insurance directly. Early treatment after an MVA leads to significantly better recovery outcomes, so we encourage you to call us as soon as possible.
What should I bring to my first physiotherapy appointment?
Bring your extended health insurance card (if applicable), any relevant medical imaging reports (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans), a list of any medications you take, and wear or bring clothing appropriate to the area being treated — such as shorts for a knee assessment or a loose-fitting top for a shoulder assessment. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete your intake paperwork.
Do you offer physiotherapy for children and teenagers in Vaughan?
Yes. We treat younger patients of all ages for a variety of conditions including growing pains, sports injuries, scoliosis, postural concerns, and concussion recovery. Our physiotherapists are experienced in adapting assessment and treatment approaches for pediatric and adolescent patients.
What is the difference between physiotherapy and chiropractic care?
Both physiotherapy and chiropractic care are effective, evidence-based treatments for musculoskeletal conditions — but they approach the body differently. Physiotherapy tends to emphasize exercise rehabilitation, movement retraining, and functional recovery, while chiropractic care focuses on spinal and joint alignment through manual adjustments. Many patients benefit most from a combination of both. At PhysioChiroWellness, our physiotherapists and chiropractors work together, so you don’t have to choose.
